I have a real passion for people, and I genuinely want to see you succeed. I love coaching and teaching, which shows up in my extracurricular activities. I coach football at a local Kent high school during the fall, and teach Sunday school to kids. There is something special about working with those who genuinely seek a better way in life. I love engaging in that discussion. Not just with kids, but with adults as well. I spend my spare time reading and studying….not just about financials but also about life. You will see this in our interactions.
I am a native born Texan. Everything is big in Texas and I am no exception. I was raised by two entrepreneurs. My mom had her own Clothing store and my dad is still running his electric motor repair company in San Antonio, TX. I moved to the Seattle after meeting my wife at a private Christian college in the Midwest. She talked me into visiting before I graduated. After coming to the Northwest a couple of times, I was sold. I love it out here!
I have recently rediscovered the joy of riding motorcycles. I have a big noise, Suzuki Boulevard cruiser. I love the freedom, the wind in my hair, and just exploring and getting lost. The Northwest is a beautiful place to discover. I also enjoy sports… a game of pickup basketball, a round of golf, and coaching high school football.
My mission in life is to be your Atlas! I want to help you see the big picture. I want to put you on my shoulders so you can see your future. It’s about finding your way in the world. It’s about helping you get your head on straight and looking up and out at all that’s available. It’s about life, family, love and a legacy you can be proud to leave behind.

I started my career as a project manager/project planner. I worked for companies around the northwest installing and implementing new systems. After awhile, I realized my passion was in the financial services industry. I was helping friends with their work place benefits, buying homes, getting financing, and making investment selections. I became a financial planner with the largest financial planning company not only in the US, but in the world. After a few years there, I decided to start my own financial planning practice… Atlas Financial, a full-service planning firm committed to helping people pursue their financial goals.
My approach to risk is based in a real world application I learned as a project manager. Using risk mitigation to anticipate project failures, I learned to avoid pitfalls and ensure a project always made it to completion. I realized this approach would work for personal finance as well. I will use these same mitigation strategies in your plan and investment selection. They are part of everything I do to preserve your lifestyle without taking unnecessary risks.
